HEY, I’M SONATA
I am a certified Health Coach and a former teacher, originally based in Scotland. Today, I support teachers who are struggling with burnout and long-term stress to find stability, safety and a gentler way back to themselves.
My journey into this work began with my own experience of burnout and stress-related health issues. Reaching a point where I could no longer continue teaching was one of the most difficult decisions I have ever made. I stepped away to focus on my own recovery and through that process, I developed a deep understanding of how profoundly prolonged stress affects the nervous system and overall health.
I created From Survival to Stability to offer the kind of structured, compassionate support I truly required when I was struggling myself.
My approach is practical, grounded and gentle. I focus on restoring stability and helping your nervous system feel safe again - rather than pushing resilience or forcing change before the body is ready.
MY STORY
For years, as a teacher, I tried to do everything: lead, teach, parent, show up for everyone. But behind the scenes, I was struggling with intense stress, chronic anxiety, and eventually, physical pain that forced me to step away from the work I loved.
That breakdown became my turning point.
I discovered that real healing happens when we work with the nervous system, not against it. When we understand stress instead of fearing it. When we build routines that support our bodies rather than deplete them.
Now, as a certified Health Coach, I help teachers recover from burnout and chronic stress while still in the system, so they can function, breathe, sleep, and make grounded decisions.

My Philosophy: Prevention Over Crisis
You don't need to wait until burnout to make a change.
In fact, the earlier you intervene, the easier it is to restore balance. I specialise in catching stress overload before it becomes burnout — helping you recognise the warning signs and take action whilst you still have the capacity to do so.
This isn't about adding more to your to-do list. It's about working smarter with your body and brain, so you can sustain your success without sacrificing your health.
I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role isn't to tell you what to do, but to help you understand what your body is telling you and give you the tools to respond.
I don't believe in perfection, quick fixes, or one-size-fits-all solutions. I believe in sustainable change, self-compassion, and working with your body's natural capacity to heal when given the right support.
